Press Release: Suffolk County District Attorney Candidates Debate Thursday at Hibernian Hall

Roxbury, MA – The Madison Park Development Corporation (MPDC) in partnership with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Massachusetts, is pleased to host the next Suffolk County District Attorney candidates’ debate between Massachusetts State Representative, Evandro Carvalho, attorney Linda Champion, Assistant District Attorney, Greg Henning, Roca Director, Shannon McAuliffe and Massachusetts Port Authority Chief Legal Counsel, Rachael Rollins. The event will take place on Thursday, June 7, 2018, from 6:00pm – 8:30pm in Hibernian Hall located at 184 Dudley Street.  Broadcast journalist, Callie Crossley, will moderate the event.

The debate is part of the “What a Difference a DA Makes” campaign launched by ACLU Massachusetts to increase voter awareness about the DA race. District attorneys are the most powerful people in the criminal justice system – and they’re accountable only to voters.

“We are excited to host the upcoming Suffolk County District Attorney debate. This is a dynamic opportunity to share information with our community about where candidates stand on important issues and encourage voter participation.” says MPDC Chief Executive Officer, Jeanne Pinado

This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:00pm. It will be livestreamed at  facebook.com/aclumass. Light refreshments provided by Suya Joint will be served.  For more information about the debate, or if you’d like to learn more about MPDC contact MPDC’s Civic Engagement Coordinator, Ed Shoemaker at 617-849-6321 or eshoemaker@madison-park.org.
