MPDC’s Summer Youth Employment Program is underway and we’re excited to announce that 64 teenagers received jobs this summer — our highest number of youth employed to date!
Youth workers are assigned to work sites during the week and also required to participate in a four-week financial literacy workshop sponsored by Citizens Bank focused on money management skills. This summer MPDC has also partnered with the Roxbury Innovation Center to provide our youth leaders with a series of STEM-based educational experiences such as coding and website development.
