Following the success of the annual construction job fair held late last year, MPDC hosted 15 applicants during an OSHA-10 certification class in January. OSHA-10 is an outreach training program provided by the Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) under the United States Department of Labor. Employers who want to gain public sector contract work in Massachusetts are required to ensure all their employees complete a minimum of an OSHA-10 training course.
Joe Ceccarelli with Safety 321(shown on left) provided students with instruction on known (and unknown) hazards associated with the construction industry. Students who completed the class received a DOL/OSHA-10 card.
