The Massachusetts Senate Democratic and Republican Primaries will be taking place this Fall!

Senator Ed Markey and Congressman Joe Kennedy, III are running for the Democratic nomination, and Shiva Ayyadurai and Kevin O’Connor are running for the republican nomination. For this election, you have three voting options: 

• On Tuesday, September 1st, 2020, Polls are open from 7am-8pm. Early voting at polls will be held August 22-28.

• Check http://www.massearlyvote.com/ for exact times and locations.

• Mail-in ballots must be requested by August 26th in order to be able to vote in the September primary.

Register to vote: You can register online (https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/), by mail or at City Hall. The deadline to register is August 22nd. Once your registration is squared away, you can again write to request a vote-by-mail ballot application or print it from the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts website (https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleev/early-voting-by-mail.htm), or you can ask for a ballot by calling 1-800-462-VOTE (8683).

In November, the Massachusetts senate election and the United States Presidential election between Republican President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden will take place. You have three voting options:

• On Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020, Polls are open from 7am-8pm.

• Early voting at polls will be held October 17-30. Check http://www.massearlyvote.com/ for exact times and locations.

• Mail-in ballots must be requested by October 31st in order to be able to vote in the general election.

Register to vote: Same instructions as for the primary. The deadline to register is October 24th.
