We’re almost there! MPDC’s new community center will open its doors at Madison Park Village in April 2018 serving as a welcoming home for a number of MPDC programs for all to participate. Program activities will include Youth Development and Education, Workforce Development and Employment Skills training, a technology center for old and young, after school and summer camp, health and wellness activities like yoga, pilates and basketball at the center’s gym, and — the Dewitt Center will be home to an array of arts activities with art classes, performances, gallery exhibitions and public art projects on center property. The Dewitt Center will strengthen the creative life of the neighborhood by making the arts an ongoing and truly accessible experience. Our end of year appeal is focusing on fundraising for the center in support of equipment, furnishings, and landscaping. Consider making an annual donation in support of the Dewitt Center, yet another important milestone in the evolving revival of one of Boston’s most historic and vital communities.
