During The Fierce Urgency of Now (F.U.N) festival, we will be celebrating queer people of color. This event seeks queer artists of color to showcase their art with the theme of what it’s like to be a QPOC in Boston. Whether it be spoken word, a song, art pieces, or any medium they choose, we want them to be able to showcase their work and be listened to. After the showcase, we’ll have a debrief/panel with the artists. Questions are welcome at the end but we first want to hear from the artists about their experiences, and what they want us to know about their struggle. They deserve a space to have their voices heard.
Being an ally is important. Please come and hear from the marginalized folks in our society, and support their art.

What is the Fierce Urgency of Now Festival?
A five-day series of events hosted by local businesses and organizations geared at highlighting the experiences, challenges, and opportunities for young professionals of color in our city with the ultimate goal of creating community.
With more than 30 events scheduled, you can plan to learn, connect, and have fun all week long, while also lending your voice to change. Join us September 4-8 to help make Boston more inclusive for all.
Why Am I Involved in F.U.N?
As a queer Black woman, my voice is rarely heard. Being able to have a platform to uplift the voices of other marginalized folks in my community is extremely important to me. What also is important to me is getting people that call themselves allies to show up and listen. Learn how you can help, and what you can do to support the Queer youth of color in Boston.
