To All Roxbury Neighbors and Community Members – The state’s Department of Transportation and the City of Boston’s Transportation Department are holding a 25% Design Hearing for the public to review and comment on their redesign proposal. This is a key opportunity for us to speak publicly regarding their plans. It is very important for everyone to attend to ensure the MCB project becomes what the neighborhood needs and wants.

Friends of Melnea Cass Boulevard works to ensure that the design will:

• Slow vehicle traffic to 25 mph per city statute.
• Save the trees lining the boulevard to provide shade and beauty and fight the heat island effect.
• Fully support pedestrian and bicyclist safety.
