About First-Time Homebuyers Class: Participants will have the opportunity to take an 8-hour Homebuying 101 course (over a duration of 2 days) to prepare first-time homebuyers for homeownership. Topics covered include information on preparing for the mortgage process, first-time homebuyer mortgages, how to find a home, the legal aspects of buying a home, and so much more! Graduates of this HUD-certified course are given a certificate that allows access to financial assistance programs, MassDREAMS, Mass Housing Partnership’s ONE Mortgage, MassHousing mortgages, home ownership lotteries, and lender first-time homebuyer mortgages. The certificate is accepted statewide for first-time homebuyer education.
