This 21st century adaptation of Jean Toomer’s Harlem Renaissance masterpiece, CANE, set in rural Georgia during the 1920s, is presented as a drama with music, movement and video. Directed by Jacqui Parker, with a cast of 10, this Hibernian Hall premiere features text by Jean Toomer, and music by Bill Lowe (pictured) and the Signifyin’ Natives Ensemble.
