At-LargeCouncilor Julia Mejia will host the 1st Annual Hispanic Heritage Women and Girls conference dedicated to empowering and educating Hispanic women.

The conference, scheduled for Saturday, September 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Dewitt Center (122 Dewitt Drive, Roxbury, MA), aims to provide a platform for over 100 Hispanic women and girls to learn, grow, and support each other in various aspects of their lives.

The theme is empowerment, and workshops on critical topics such as financial literacy, homeownership, healthy relationships, dating violence, and physical fitness will be featured. The goal is to focus on and uplift the social, emotional, financial, and physical well-being of Latinas.
