We were excited to kick-off the Census 2020 Roxbury Counts event on Friday, June 14 at our Dewitt Center with special
guests including Mayor Marty Walsh, Sen. Chang-Diaz, Councilor At-Large Michelle Wu, Councilor District 7 Kim Janey. The effort comes at a critical time for our neighborhood of Roxbury as we fight for fair representation and ensuring everyone is ready to be counted during next year’s rollout of Census 2020. With major changes, including the pending decision to include a citizenship question- Madison Park Development Corp. is partnering with the MA Census Equity Fund to ensure residents are engaged, educated and informed with the right information around the Census. We will continue to work with our elected officials, neighborhood partners, and affiliates to ensure a fair and accurate count. Roxbury matters!
